Job Overview
The Relationship Officer will play a key role in acquiring new clients, managing customer relationships, expanding the bank’s retail and SME portfolio, and ensuring high-quality banking services. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and internal teams to drive business growth and maintain portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
Identify, acquire, and onboard new Retail and SME customers.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Conduct regular visits to existing and prospective clients to strengthen business relationships.
Provide personalized banking solutions based on customer needs.
Business Development
Achieve targets for loans, deposits, and other banking products.
Drive business growth through cross-selling and up-selling banking services.
Explore new market opportunities and expand the customer base.
Credit Analysis & Portfolio Management
Conduct financial analysis and assess customer creditworthiness.
Prepare credit proposals and support sound lending decisions.
Monitor portfolio quality and minimize non-performing loans (NPLs).
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
Banking Operations & Compliance
Ensure smooth execution of banking services including account operations, fund transfers, e-GP services, and related activities.
Maintain compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) guidelines.
Prepare call reports, credit proposals, MIS reports, and maintain accurate documentation.
Coordinate with credit, operations, compliance, audit, and other departments for efficient service delivery.
Additional Duties
Perform other responsibilities assigned by branch management to support business operations and customer service excellence.
Educational Requirements
MBA, MBM, Master's Degree, or equivalent qualification (preferably in Business-related disciplines) from a UGC-approved university.
Candidates must have completed at least 16 years of education.
No third-class/division in academic records.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Relationship Officer or in a similar role within a commercial bank or financial institution.
Required Competencies
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, energetic, and career-oriented mindset.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English.
Ability to work effectively in a competitive and challenging banking environment.
