Position Overview

ONE Bank PLC is seeking an accomplished and visionary banking professional to lead its Islami Banking Division. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving strategic growth, strengthening Shariah governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing operational excellence across the Bank’s Islami Banking operations.

This is a senior leadership position designed for an experienced banking executive with extensive expertise in Islamic banking, business development, policy formulation, governance, and transformation initiatives.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• MBA or Master’s Degree in:

  • Finance

  • Banking

  • Accounting

  • Management

  • Economics

  • Or any related discipline

• Degree must be obtained from a recognized and reputable university.

Experience Requirements

Professional Experience

• Minimum 15 years of banking experience.

• Extensive exposure to Islami Banking operations, business management, and policy formulation.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role within:

  • Islami Banking Division

  • Islami Banking Window

  • Full-fledged Islami Banking Branch

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in:

• Shariah Governance Framework Implementation

• Regulatory Compliance Management

• Islamic Banking Core Banking System (CBS) Operations

• Islamic Product Development and Innovation

• Business Transformation and Growth Strategy

Shariah Governance & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with:

  • Shariah Principles

  • Bangladesh Bank Regulations

  • Internal Policies and Procedures

  • Risk Management Frameworks

• Strengthen governance structures to support sustainable Islamic banking operations.

Product Innovation

• Lead the development and enhancement of innovative Islami Banking products and services.

• Align product offerings with customer needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee the performance of Islami Banking branches and windows.

• Monitor business operations, service quality, profitability, recovery performance, and customer satisfaction.

• Provide strategic guidance for operational improvement and business expansion.

Stakeholder Management

• Maintain effective relationships with:

  • Bangladesh Bank

  • Regulatory Authorities

  • Shariah Supervisory Bodies
